Rising Eagle Productions has announced the addition of Christian composer Forbus to their REP Records roster. His first instrumental single “Marguerite” has projected release in May of this year. Brandt Sleeper of REP offered this insight:

“Forbus is a consummate composer and has scored for film and video for years. His compositions are highly emotive and cinematic in nature. The style, which he refers to as neo-classicism, is reflective of the wonderful melodies, thematic development and orchestration of the Classical and Romantic period while borrowing on many New Age musical devices. In a sense, it is a return to classical form but with a new and fresh perspective.”

“Marguerite,” the second in a series of nano releases by REP Records, marks a departure from traditional Christian genres in that it breaks from the Pop, Rock and Rap styles that are so prominent in the Christian music scene. Mr. Sleeper adds:

“There is plenty of competition out there for the younger Christian audiences. With the musical style of Forbus, we intend to appeal to a slightly more refined audience that appreciates well crafted melodies and arrangements. This music touches the soul through a deeply intimate sound.”
